Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen presented an interesting view of his team's defeat on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Denver fought back and cleared a seven-point deficit in the second half, then lost the lead in the middle of the fourth quarter on a shot at the basket in Los Angeles. The Broncos tried late in the game for a winning placement of the game, Brandon McManus, while the time to win the 23-22 was over.

Allen was not impressed.

"No, I do not think they played well at all," Allen told reporters after the match. "We dominated the match. The numbers we gave them were points and that's what happened. They are null.

Los Angeles had several self-inflicted injuries.

The Chargers beat the Broncos 479-325 and had 10 more tries than Denver. They converted nine of the 15 tries in the third, while the Broncos moved the strings only three times out of ten. Los Angeles played 20 other offensive games.

But they made 14 penalties for 120 yards, while the Broncos were called for seven penalties for 43 yards. And the Chargers made two turnovers – the two interceptions by quarterback Philip Rivers – while Denver did not give the ball just once.

Allen, who scored nine catches for 89 yards and one touchdown, called the 14 penalties "stupid".

And while flags and turnovers were problems, the Chargers struggled to keep their orders in the second half. Their first possession in the third quarter totaled nine games and 74 yards, limited by a 6-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Gates.

The rest of the series in the second half resulted in an interception, a punt, a field goal and another punt. The Los Angeles offense, however, was penalized by only four meters in the second half, with most of Charger's offenses occurring on the defensive side of the ball.

The defeat ended a run of six straight wins, but the Chargers (7-3) are still in Africa's second place in Africa Africa behind the Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) .

"It's tough," said Allen, who was selected for his first Pro Bowl in 2017. "But again, we should not even be in the situation we're in. Let's go back to the six games that we have won before that, we should never be in this situation where we are, so we just have to understand. "
