The woman who accused US representative Keith Ellison of D-Minn. Of Domestic Violence on Wednesday released a 2017 medical document describing the abuses allegedly caused by the congressman.
Karen Monahan, an ex-girlfriend of Ellison, published the document on social networks a few days after declaring that the Democratic Party had "soiled" him and threatened to isolate him for his allegations against the deputy of the National Democratic Committee (DNC).
A doctor wrote in the medical document that Monahan "claims to have been in a very stressful environment for years, victim of psychological and physical abuse from a partner with whom she is now separated.
"She identifies the individual with whom she was involved as a member of the Ellison Congress, and she worries about retribution if she identifies him publicly," the document adds.
The woman says the date of the document – November 28, 2017 – proves that she discussed the history of the violence long before she publicly voiced her accusations against the Democrat.

She told her story last month, alleging that Ellison had sent him threatening text messages and had screamed obscenities while he was dragging her by a bed.
Monahan has already stated that she has a video of Ellison attacking him, but declined requests to broadcast the footage, claiming it was too traumatic. Ellison denied all accusations, saying that he "never behaved this way".
The allegations did not result in any immediate action against the congressman, with the exception of the announcement of the review of the charges by the DNC. He then won the Democratic primary election for the Minnesota Attorney General.

Earlier this week, Monahan said the Democratic Party did not believe his allegations, even as he stood behind Christine Blasey Ford, who accused the accuser of Brett Kavanaugh, Supreme Court candidate, of misconduct. sexual.
"No, they do not," replied Monahan in response to a question about whether the party believed in women's stories about wrongdoing. "I've been smeared, threatened, isolated from my own party. I have provided medical records from 2017, indicating two different Dr. visits, I told them about the violence and who did it. My therapist published documents indicating that I was treating and curing abuse.
"Four people, including my supervisor at the time, said that I visited them and told them the exact story I shared publicly," she added. "I've shared several texts between Keith and me, where I discuss abuse with him and much more. As I have already said, I knew that I would not be believed.
Monahan reiterated that her story has nothing to do with politics. "I have nothing to prove to anyone, I simply shared my story. People can believe it or not. I do not need anyone to affirm my humanity, I said, she wrote in another tweet.
"The fact that both parties only care to score political points is hypocritical," she added. "Do you think that someone who has had to deal with some form of abuse by politicians thinks about politics? No, we and our families are trying to heal.
