Celebrities and fellow musicians are taking to social media to extend their condolences following the death of longtime “Hee Haw” host Roy Clark.

The Country Music Hall of Fame member died Thursday at his Tulsa, Oklahoma, home due to complications from pneumonia. He was 85.

“My first CMA memory is sitting on my living room floor watching Roy Clark tear it up,” Ubran wrote. “Sending my love and respect to him and his family for all he did.”

Brad Paisley explained how Clark “shaped” his career.

“My Papaw introduced me to his music as a toddler,” the musician tweeted. “Every Saturday we’d watch Hee Haw. My first guitar book was a Roy Clark guitar method.

“I practiced his style, then practiced making his facial expressions,” Paisley continued. “He was a hero. And so many have the same story.”

The official Twitter account for The Oak Ridge Boys described Clark as a “friend, brother, mentor.”

“Just got word that Roy Clark has passed,” Charlie Daniels posted on Twitter. “I’ve known him for 60 years and he was a fine musician and entertainer Rest In Peace Buddy, you will be remembered.”

“Roy, thank you for always spreading laughter, kindness, and positivity,” The Grand Ole  Opry posted on Twitter. “We’ll keep it goin’ for ya!

“South Pacific” actress Mitzi Gaynor shared an old photo of the two performing.

“Wonderful Roy Clark was a great talent & a kind & gentle man,” she remembered. “We had so much fun singing & dancing together. My love goes out to his family & friends.”

Comedian Larry The Cable Guy paid tribute to Clark in a series of tweets.

“R.I.P. Roy Clark. Oh man so many memories growing up with him on hee haw. Another part of my childhood that made growing up the way I did awesome,” he said in one tweet.

“I don’t really get star struck but I do for anybody that I remember growing my childhood and obviously Roy Clark was one,” the comic continued. “I only met Roy Clark once.We talked for about 90 minutes and he told us Hee Haw stories and then I asked him if I could have a hug. One of the best Hugs ever.”

“Heaven just got a great picker!” he concluded. “Can’t wait to see him do some pickin’ and grinnin’ on them heavenly hay bales.”
