Kelly Clarkson seduced fans with her singing. Now the Grammy Award winner has the right to add a conversation to her repertoire with a new weekday chat show scheduled for Fall 2019.

"The Kelly Clarkson Show" has been sold to television channels owned by NBC, an 11-member group that reaches nearly 30% of US homes, announced the national television unit of NBCUniversal. This movement is a precursor to the sales of stations designed to reach most of the country.

The Clarkson show would be placed at the top of the popular "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on NBC stations, located in markets as important as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington.

Clarkson, which became the first American Idol in 2002, made a strong impression this year on another NBC show, "The Voice", where it guided Brynn Cartelli, winner of season 14, in his first season as coach. She will have more training when she returns as a coach for next fall (September 24 and September 8, Pacific daylight time) and spring.

The format "Clarkson" is described as "an hour full of remarkable stories, famous guests, spontaneous surprises, humor, heart and, of course, good music".

"I like to connect with people, play games, listen to music and find ways to help or give back to communities / organizations," Clarkson said in a statement. "Having my own talk show where I can do all these things is a dream job!"
