An official Frasier The restart may take longer than expected, assuming fans believe in Frasier, Kelsey Grammer.

Grammer spoke in front of a group of the USC Comedy Festival to commemorate Frasier25th anniversary of, according to Deadline. He and his former co-stars asked about the famous moments of the series while explaining why the restart was delayed.

"No, no hypothesis has been found that would have the necessary fire," responded Grammer when asked what the status of the restart was. "Many of us are very attached to the idea that you would never try to redo what you had before."

The restart conversation does not come out of the ether. Last July, Grammer had "expressed interest" in the redesign of the series. Apparently, these conversations did not result in much.

This does not mean Fraiser 2.0 is dead. At the panel, Grammer explained his desire for a script taking over the original cast while introducing new main characters reflecting current times. He also insisted that nothing was "etched in the marble" and that he would continue to search until he found a show that seemed familiar but not the same . "In my own personal approach to what I've discussed with other people, it's that I would not want to do it without these guys," he said.
