Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant chose his team on NBA 2K19: the Cleveland Cavaliers. The superstar striker noticed the gaping hole at the Cavaliers' small pitch, while local hero LeBron James decided to put his talents to the Los Angeles Lakers last summer.
"I'm on the Cavs," Durant says in an Instagram video posted by Ronnie Singh, aka @ Ronnie2K. "There is an open place to the small advanced position."

Durant seems to be playing MyCareer on NBA 2K19 as seen in the video above, and he has not had any further thoughts on filling in the place left by James.
The Warriors and Cavaliers have been dance partners in the last four finals of the NBA, and Golden State has won each of the last two games with Durant. The two teams will not play the five finals in a row because the Cavs will certainly feel the bad effects of James' departure.
However, the perception of LeBron's exit in Cleveland this time around was not as bad as his first start for the Miami Heat in 2010. Winning the 2016 NBA Championship for the city of Cleveland was certainly his freedom to do whatever he wants for the rest of his career.
Meanwhile, rumors are already spreading about Durant's free-agency plans next summer. Critics, former players and fans already have the idea to leave the Warriors and try to win a championship.
While it may be exaggerated that this – as the Cavs join – happen in real life, Durant's idea of filling the gap left by LeBron in Cleveland would certainly be interesting to see. With James and James competing for the title of best player in the world, Durant could be a testing ground to see how he would manage with the Cavaliers roster that King James left behind. But he probably will not do it.
