Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor at UFC 229

Khabib Nurmagomedov, a fighter from the UFC, wants to do better than Conor McGregor after calling boxer Floyd Mayweather, telling him: "In the jungle, there is only one king".

Russia's Nurmagomedov, 30, defeated McGregor on Oct. 6 to extend her undefeated mixed martial arts record to 27-0.

It's McGregor's first fight at the UFC since the Irish lost a boxing bout against American's Mayweather in August 2017.

Former five-time world champion Mayweather is unbeaten 50 times.

"Let's go Floyd, we have to fight now," said Nurmagomedov, in an Instagram video filmed with Leonard Ellerbe, managing director of Mayweather Promotions.

"50-0 v 27-0, two guys who never lose, why not? Because in the jungle there is only one king."

Nurmagomedov, renowned for his fighting skills, took McGregor with a punch before winning the competition with a choke, forcing him to take it to himself.

Mayweather, 41, stopped McGregor in the 10th round in their fight, one of the richest fights in the history of boxing.

"Of course, I'm king because he could not overthrow McGregor and I easily knocked him over," added Nurmagomedov, who defended his UFC lightweight title against McGregor.

Mayweather, who has not fought since the fight against McGregor, announced that he would come out of retirement to fight Manny Pacquiao at a rematch later this year.

Nurmagomedov and McGregor have both been temporarily suspended by the Nevada Sports Commission in anticipation of a thorough investigation into the scenes that marked the end of their Las Vegas bout.

After his victory, Nurmagomedov jumped off the octagon barrier and started fighting his rival's team. McGregor then beat the Russian side when many fights broke out.
