Khabib Nurmagomedov wants to fight Floyd Mayweather

Khabib Nurmagomedov is still fixing the problem after his post-UFC 229 attack against Conor McGregor's team, but that does not stop him from thinking about the future. He recently called Floyd Mayweather and wants to fight him – just like Conor McGregor.

Nurmagomedov calls Mayweather

Nurmagomedov was recently in the ring with Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, via MMAFighting.com. Nurmagomedov, an arm wrapped around Ellerbe's shoulders, called for a fight against Mayweather.

Will we ever see Nurmagomedov against Mayweather?

Currently, Nurmagomedov is suspended by the Nevada Sports Commission pending an investigation into his attack on McGregor's team after UFC 229, and his $ 2 million purse is also retained. In addition, the UFC pulled out its training partner from a match with his training partner McGregor, and Nurmagomedov was so unhappy that he threatened to break his ties with the UFC.

It is unclear whether Nurmagomedov will actually leave the UFC, but there is no doubt that his star is on the rise. Even ignoring his attack on McGregor's team, Nurmagomedov is the first person to overthrow McGregor in competition. Mayweather easily won his fight against McGregor in August 2017, but he could not overthrow McGregor. Fighting the first man to do this could be very appealing to Mayweather.

SHOW CAPTION

It turns out that Mayweather is definitely interested. On Monday, after Nurmagomedov's Instagram video was broadcast, Mayweather tweeted it at the right price, he's all-in.

Khabib was quick to react.

Nurmagomedov might have a different feeling if the NAC ended up giving him his $ 2 million scholarship from the Battle of McGregor, but until then it seems he and Vegas are not listening.

Vegas or not, a possible fight between Mayweather and Nurmagomedov could be huge. The fight between Mayweather and McGregor was the second largest pay-per-view event of all time and Nurmagomedov versus McGregor at UFC 229 set a record for pay-per-view by the MMA. The combination of these two events, even without McGregor's involvement, would mean a lot of money for everyone involved.

In September, Mayweather announced that he was coming out of retirement for a rematch of the 2015 fight between him and Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather could have a busy year ahead of him if he ended up fighting with both Pacquiao and Nurmagomedov.
