The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights that took place on pay-per-view TV UFC 229 last Saturday (October 6, 2018) in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas resulted in quite violent endings. Nevada, including the co-main bloodbath of the UFC 229 event between Tony Ferguson and Anthony Pettis.

Relive the carnage here.

So, unsurprisingly, "Showtime" is one of many UFC 229 fighters to get a six-month suspension – pending approval from the doctor – from the Nevada Athletics Commission (NSAC), who certainly has some work to do after the post-event shenanigans of the promotion.

More on this debacle here.

In addition, a few of them have been reported for more serious injuries requiring follow-up visits with their doctor. Dominick Reyes (leg), Jalin Turner (nasal fracture), Scott Holtzman (hand, foot) and Alan Patrick (orbital fracture) join Pettis.

Here is the complete list of UFC 229 medical injuries and suspensions:

Anthony Pettis: The nasal fracture must be eliminated by a doctor or no contest until 04/05/19.

Dominick Reyes: X-ray of the left leg; if the test is positive, obtaining the doctor's permission in orthopedics or no competition until 04/05/19

Jalin Turner: The nasal fracture must be eliminated by a doctor or no contest until 04/05/19; minimum suspension of non-participation until 12/06, no contact until 11/21

Scott Holtzman: X-rays of the right and right hands should be X-rayed. If the result is positive, they must be approved by an orthopedic doctor or not participate in the contest until 04/05/19; minimum suspension of non-competition until 11/21, no contact before 11/06 due to a cut on the left forehead

Alan Patrick: The fracture of the orbital rash must have been resolved by an ENT physician or ophthalmologist or no contest until 04/05/19; minimum suspension of non-participation until 12/06, no contact until 11/21

Ovince Saint Preux: suspended until 12/06, no contact until 11/11

Alexander Volkov: suspended until 12/06, no contact until 11/11

Tonya Evinger: suspended until 21/11, no contact until 11/06

Gray Maynard: Suspended until 21/11, no contact before 11/06 due to a cut to the left eyebrow

Ryan LaFlare: Suspended until 21/11, no contact until 11/06 due to a cut on the left forehead

Conor McGregor: Suspended until 11/06, no contact until 10/28

Derrick Lewis: suspended until 11/06, no contact until 10/28 due to a difficult fight

Vicente Luque: suspended until 11/06, no contact until 10/28

Just a quick reminder: fighters often return to action much more quickly once doctors have given them the go-ahead. Long suspensions are only a precaution in most cases. In addition, not all injuries are recorded during the post-combat examination and often show up during follow-up tests.
