After spending the summer rebuilding their relationship in Los Angeles after her cheating scandal, the reality star returns to Cleveland with her boyfriend Tristan Thompson and their True daughter.

"Khloe and Tristan are great," says the source. "Since they both went to the academy with True, they really worked on relationship issues. They had an amazing summer together and a great family vacation.

But "the holidays are already over and Tristan must be back in Cleveland for the new season," the source said. "He has games in October. They all return to Cleveland, and it's hard for Khloe. I will really miss her [Jenner] and his sisters.

A second source tells PEOPLE that Kardashian, 34, has always planned to return to Cleveland with Thompson, 27.

"It's their house," says the second source. "But True will still spend a lot of time with his cousins ​​and his family at L.A. They will travel back and forth."

While originally from Calabasas, Kardashian has a soft spot for Cleveland, where she spent most of her pregnancy and gave birth to her daughter on April 12th.

"She can go out without being photographed. Nobody judges her. She loves that! An insider told PEOPLE. "Khloe found it a lot more stressful to be pregnant in Los Angeles."

And Kardashian herself said that she loves both cities.
