Khris Davis of Oakland Athletics won the most home runs in the majors with 48 and, most notably, with a .247 batting average for the fourth year in a row.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, no player in MLB history has had the same batting average rounded to three decimals in four consecutive seasons, with a minimum of 10 at-bats per year.
The A's eliminated Davis for a pinch in the sixth inning Sunday, ensuring he would still match the batting average this season.
Davis is incredibly consistent on the board, with only .279 in his rookie season with Milwaukee Brewers canceled his career. He is a .248 batter for life.
But his home run totals have increased every year, with 27 in 2015, 42 in 2016, 43 in 2017 and 48 this year.
Since 2016, Davis has 133 circuits, most of them in the majors. New York Yankees Giancarlo Stanton is second with 124.
Boston Red Sox striker J.D. Martinez was second in the league with 43 points, hitting a three-run shot in the fourth inning against the Yankees on Sunday before being defeated.
