Long before Caitlyn Jenner publicly became a transgender in 2015, Kim Kardashian West met her stepfather, then dressed as a woman.
Appearing on Alec Baldwin's new ABC talk show, The show of Alec BaldwinKardashian West, 38, remembers when she found Caitlyn, then married to her mother Kris Jenner, dressed in women's clothing in their garage.
"I found out when I was maybe 25," she said. "My mother was out of town and I went into Caitlyn all dressed up … like a woman in the garage of my mother's house. I ran inside, wrapped a bag so fast in shaking, and then ran and called Kourtney. I said, "I have to come spend the weekend with you."
"I cried hysterically," continued Kardashian West. "It was just like," What is it? Did you catch [Caitlyn] cheated? And I said to myself, "I wish. I do not know what I just saw. "I did not go home for the weekend."
Kardashian West stated that Caitlyn had asked him not to talk to anyone about the incident, saying, "One day I'm going to sit down and I'll explain everything to you, but by then, I'm going to Please, do not say anything to anyone and, please, do not do it. Tell your mother. She will kill me. "
"I thought," Okay, if I tell him I'm going to break up their marriage and my little sisters are not going to have their dad, then I'd better keep my mouth shut, "Kardashian West said. "I did not say a word."

When asked how much Kris was aware of Caitlyn's gender identity crisis, Kardashian West said that the two women, married from 1991 to 2015, shared the same opinion as their daughters. Kendall and Kylie.
"She was so in love," Kim said of 62-year-old Kris. "She did not think anything would be a problem in their relationship. Did she ever dream that [Caitlyn] would be transition in a woman? I do not think she would have dreamed of that in a billion years. "
"That's why I loved sharing our story on our show, because it made people understand that you could have all the emotions and that it was acceptable," she said. "By the end of the day, we just want Caitlyn to be happy and she's herself."
Since the transition, Caitlyn, 68, has separated from Kris and the kardashian side of the family, although she has relationships with her biological daughters Kendall, 22, and Kylie, 21. The Kardashian Sisters, as well as Kris, have been opened up so that passages from Caitlyn's memoir in 2017 have created a break in the family. (In the book, Caitlyn claimed that Kris knew more about the situation than she said she had.)

A source recently told People that Kris and Caitlyn "interact when they need to for their children."
"It's important for Kylie and Kendall," the source said. "They can be cordial, but like most ex, they will never be best friends."
A second source added that things are still "icy" between Caitlyn and the Kardashian sisters.
