Cyber criminals use celebrity names to entice people to click on links to sites used to install malware or steal personal information and passwords, McAfee said.
Raj Samani, scientist and director of McAfee, said, "We live in a fast-paced world, heavily influenced by pop culture and social media, with endless possibilities to choose the entertainment options we prefer to use from a variety connected devices.
"Kim Kardashian is without a doubt one of the most famous women in the world, so I'm not surprised she's leading the list this year.
"Consumers often place more emphasis on speed and comfort than security by clicking on suspicious links that promise content featuring our favorite celebrities, such as our movies, TV shows or favorite images. "

McAfee also released a list of the United States, in which Orange is the new black star and Batwoman ruby rose claim the first place.
In addition to its lists, the cybersecurity firm has also published online security tips, urging users to only stream videos and click on articles from trusted sources, and keep antivirus applications and software up-to-date.
