The season of trick or treat may be over, but Jimmy Kimmel is still serving up the train.

For the eighth year in a row, the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host recruited parents to tell their children Halloween candy. But since this is the eighth year in a row, a couple of kids have started to catch on.

"We're all your Halloween candy," one mom told her kid, as her other child walked in from another room.

"Oh no, this is fake," he said. "I know this … I know you"

Still, some unsuspecting kiddos were in for a shock, ranging from full-on sobbing to anger to being "so disappointed at you."

Others are more forgiving, offering to share their stash and noting that "candy is not that special."

"I am not mad at all," one kid said while moving to hug his mom. "I will never be mad at you, 'cause you're my mom."

"Wait, Jimmy Kimmel … do you think you're gonna get away with this?" another asked.

Maybe not too much longer. But for now, the results are still hilarious.
