Students from a middle school in the Middle Tennessee lent their hands to offer a guardian a particularly happy birthday.
A kindergarten class from Hickerson Elementary School in Tullahoma sang and signed "Happy Birthday" for guard James Anthony, hard of hearing.
The performance for Anthony's 60th birthday took place on Tuesday, WZTV-TV reported.
A video shows Anthony's classroom performance and reaction, which radiates surprise and delight. The images were then shared on the school's Facebook page.
"Mr. James teaches sign language to children from time to time, teaches them good manners and how to treat others," said Jimmy Anderson, director of the school, at the station.
Anthony worked for the Coffee County School system in Manchester for over two decades.
