Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz looked like he had survived a Black Friday skirmish in Walmart after the Hawkeyes beat Nebraska on Friday, an imposing one. 31 to 28 over Miguel Recinos goal on a distance of 41 yards.

Ferentz left the field with a bloody mouth, courtesy of a whim of his quarterback, Nate Stanley.

"I just hit Stanley's head, not intentionally, he had me, I do not think he saw me," Ferentz told the Big Ten network. "It's easy going."

Nebraska recovered in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Adrian Martinez conceded a touchdown and another touchdown to tie the score at 28 with just over 3 minutes to go.

But Stanley managed to get a win over the Hawkeyes by hitting T.J. Hockenson clocked a 10-yard pass in the fourth and eighth innings with 42 seconds remaining to support the march. Recinos then hit the 41-yard winner in the pouring rain.

The win was the eighth of the season for Iowa, triggering a $ 500,000 bonus for Ferentz.
