KISS ends with a last trick filled with explosion.

The heavy-metal band announced what it promised to be a last trip, the End of the Road tour. He followed a pyrotechnic performance of "Detroit Rock City" during Wednesday's final "America's Got Talent".

"By the way, we have just announced the end-of-the-road world tour KISS One Last!" Gene Simmons, 60, wrote on Instagram. "It was an amazing trip with you all, we could not leave without saying goodbye."

"This show will have the most explosions, the most blows and will be the loudest one yet!" Simmons promised.

The details on the site of the tour filled with flames promised more details will be announced shortly. KISS was created 45 years ago and is known for stage outfits, make-up and pyrotechnics – not to mention the fire breathing and spitting of blood.

The group issued a statement promising that the tour would be "the ultimate celebration for those who saw us and one last chance for those who have not yet done it." Simmons did not hint at the final tour, but was nostalgic about the band during an interview with USA TODAY this week.

When KISS was founded in 1973, "nobody thought it would go far," he said. "Here's an idea: I'm going to wear more makeup and high heels than your mom, and we're going to look completely different from all the bands that exist, and I'm going to pull my tongue out and spit out fire and fly in the air, not even in dreams.

"We always pushed around a bit and walked to the rhythm of our own drum, KISS was always KISS."
