Klay Thompson now has 3 of the best scoring games of the last 5 seasons

Klay Thompson picked you up last night – again.

It was not because of his big headband on his head. During his assault of 14 three-point players, you sent a text message to everyone who knew that they needed to see what would become a 52-point game for Brother Splash.

You know when Thompson spends one of those nights. Of course, he and Steph Curry did a lot of trios night after night. We are used to 8-10 players of one or the other (or both) in any match. But in the last five years, Thompson has organized three nights that remind you where you were, who you were with, and who you called or sent an SMS with.

If you were to evoke the Warriors superstars, Thompson would go behind Steph, Kevin Durant and sometimes Draymond Green. But when it comes to evolving paradigm-changing performances that require you to give up everything you do, well, Thompson owns them.

Against the Bulls, Klay was in another zone.

He was late for a game like this. Upon arriving in the party on Monday night, it was only 5 -36 deep. It is quite different from him and the law of averages will tell you that it will not last very long. I like to imagine that his team-mates would piss him off, because they knew that a crisis like this just would not last.

Then Thompson decided to put the train back on track.

In the first half, Thompson eliminated 10 of his 14 three-point markers, including six in the first quarter. You knew early on that we were going for a ride. He was taken in the middle of the third quarter, finishing in the 26th minute.

People do not score as many points in as many minutes, except for Klay Thompson.

Some quick calculations will tell you that he scored two points per minute on the ground. It's a hell of a way out of a crisis.

With Thompson, it's not really surprising. That's what he does now.

His record of 37 points in 2015 was the first time Klay showed us an explosive explosion that we never thought possible.

We've gotten used to waiting for some stupid Thompson games that other players can not match. But on January 23, 2015, nobody waited 37 points on a quarter.

And he's been answering that question ever since.

Last season, his 60-point game was amazing for all the little things that contributed to it.

A 60-point match is rare, and Thompson has somehow found a way to make the points, probably a footnote.

Against the Pacers, Thompson shot 21 against 33 on the field, 8 against 14 against three and 10 against 11 on the line. Forty of his points came in the first half and he played only 29 minutes, never seeing a minute of action in the fourth quarter.

The explosion is impressive, but the way he did it is even more serious, especially for these two reasons:

His 60 points were the maximum that a player scored in less than 30 minutes in the history of the NBA.

To score 60 points is difficult. This has only been done 68 times in 72 years of NBA basketball, of which 32 belong to Wilt Chamberlain.

And yet, Thompson stands out for its effectiveness.

There will be another attack from Klay. We just do not know what it will look like.
