Kleenex is rethinking her "Mansize" fabrics amid cries of consumer sexism. The new name? Simply, "Kleenex Extra Large."

According to a statement from Texas-based Kleenex's parent company, Kimberly-Clark.

Titan's Mansize product, made from tissue paper, hit store shelves 60 years ago in the UK, the company said, presented as a disposable alternative to the popular cotton handkerchiefs of the time. It's only been sold there since.

They are the most popular fabric brand in the UK, according to The British telegraph.

"Thanks to recent feedback, we are now transforming our Mansize fabrics into Extra Large Kleenex," Kimberly-Clark said in a statement. "Consumers can already see the new name on our largest in-store boxes."

As early as Thursday afternoon, the Kleenex website was still advertising the product under the name Mansize, describing them as "sure of their strength, slightly soft with a touch of silk" – not to be confused with its Ultra Soft fabrics, which are "beautifully soft and silky for your face". "

In a statement to the Telegraph, Kimberly-Clark explained the concerns of her Mansize brand.

"Kimberly-Clark does not suggest in any way that being both soft and strong is an exclusively masculine trait, nor do we believe that the Mansize brand suggests or endorses gender inequality." Mansize fabrics remain one of our most popular products, with 3.4 million people making these fabrics each year. "

Kleenex masculinized her fabrics in 1956 with the release of Kleenex "For Men," according to the newspaper.

This change follows a series of reactions on the product name. The company has responded to several complaints on Twitter in the past month alone.

Lisa Hancox, marketing manager in southeastern England, explained how her 4-year-old son had asked if "boys and mummies" could also use Mansize fabrics.

"He suggests calling them" very big fabrics, "Hancox said in a tweet to Kleenex last week. "It's 2018."
