McMurray, Penn. (UGC) – A store manager who worked for 18 years in a Pennsylvania Kmart was upset by the latest announcement he made by intercom.
Josh Englert was 16 when he started helping Kmart's customers.
Last week, he called the intercom to announce the closing of the store and bid farewell.
In the video on his mobile phone posted on Facebook, Englert told buyers that he had spent half of his life working for the discount retailer and described his colleagues as a family.
"Attention, Kmart buyers, it is now 16:25 and your McMurray, Kmart will close for the last time in five minutes," said Englert. "I wanted to take this opportunity not to sell you 40-cent plaid skirts or five-cent panties, but rather to thank you for your support for a lifetime of memories."
Kmart, which was once the second largest discount retailer, filed for bankruptcy protection in 2012 and merged with Sears in 2004.
The company closes from stores.
