Knicks 'Enes Kanter angry over Hawks' Twitter joke

Enes Kanter ripped Atlanta's social media staffer who joked on Twitter about his scary somersault Wednesday as he grappled for the ball with Hawks powerhouse center Miles Plumlee.

Kanter literally flipped over and somehow avoided hitting his head. But he was not pleased at a snarky Hawks tweet on the team's official account showing the video: "As God is my witness, he is broken in half!"

The Knicks Center, noted Twitter troll, felt it was uncalled for, especially with the Knicks winning and dominating Plumlee.

"I do not know who's running their social media – a high schooler?" Kanter said. "I know they've been tweeting some crazy stuff. Probably a high schooler. Whoever it is, they should consider anyone [else] for sure because it is terrible. "

Had Plumlee played well, Kanter may have found the tweet more appropriate.

"It's kind of weird because they just lost the game last night and the guy they were tweeting about, I got a double-double on him," Kanter said. "So it's a little weird to tweet something about him after a bad loss, a home loss."

Kanter said he had no soreness despite the dangerous fall, invoking WWE.

"I'm lucky I watch a lot of wrestling," Kanter said. "Luckily I ducked in. If I did not duck in, it would be very ugly. '

When he retires – or even before – Kanter has thought about doing some professional wrestling.

"I'm already talking to people," said Kanter, whose outsized personality would fit.

A good sign for his future is the way he felt after the somersault.

"Shockingly I feel pretty good," Kanter said. "I thought I'd have a sore back or sore neck."

Though he felt disfavored when David Fizdale moved on from the starting lineup for Mitchell Robinson's rookie project after the season's fifth game, the Turkish center is thriving on the court – a double-double machine. On Monday vs. the Bulls, he posted highs for rebounds (24) and assists (7).

His spirits have lifted, too, and he seems back to his old jovial self. He even asked for a hug from a reporter after the Atlanta game.

"I say this every time because it's like the second unit, trying to lead, it actually is easier," Kanter said. "You get a feel for the game. You see what's going on, and I'm going against a second-unit big man, so it's way easier. But in the end, it's all about if you get a win. "

Fizdale said he had a talk with Trey Burke, who did not play Wednesday when he first signed. Burke told The Post he was "as surprised as anyone." Fizdale indicated Burke's rotation will be taken game by game.

"I just told him, 'You're gotta be ready, just be pro right now,' because he's got a weapon that I can use," Fizdale said. "He can score. You can see how this thing is moving. At any point, you could be back in that rotation. "
