The Browns See Another Potential Victory Escape
CLEVELAND, Ohio – It is said that adversity brings out the best or the worst of a person.
What can be said about the Browns' leadership response to the Cleveland defeat on Sunday to Buccaneers 26-23 in overtime?
The first returns are not so great.
It was the usual top-down game for the Browns. They led 16-2 at halftime after a nice defeat of the offensive. They put the offensive in the second half and tied the game at 23, then saw Bucs' troubled kicker Chandler Catanzaro hit a 59-yard field goal to win it in overtime.
The winning kick was set up by a deflated kick from the Browns' return, Jabrill Peppers. But it was Peppers who scored with a return punt return of 32 yards at the end of the fourth quarter.
The Browns' defense had four turnovers, but the team made 14 penalties.
