Kroger recalls some berries on a possible contamination by hepatitis A

NEW YORK (CNN) – Federal authorities have asked consumers to avoid certain brands of frozen berries sold to Kroger and other grocery stores for fear of contamination with the virus from the market. hepatitis A.

The berries have been sold nationwide under the brand "private selection" of the grocery store. The contamination was discovered during a sampling of frozen berries by the Food and Drug Administration, the grocery chain announced.
