"Think about who we have, and in the future and what we have planned, for me, where I am in age and how I see my career evolve, and a bit of the lineage of guys who came before me in the Boston Celtics, is something that I wanted to be part of. "
Irving finished the night with 16 points on five shots against 16 with five assists against the Knicks. He averages 14.7 points with three rebounds and six assists in three games this season.
