LIVERPOOL, England (Reuters) – British opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn said Saturday that his party would defy Prime Minister Theresa May in any Brexit deal with Brussels and called for national elections.

Britain said Saturday that it would not "capitulate" to the EU's claims in the Brexit negotiations and once again urged the bloc to engage in its proposals after May said the Brexit negotiations with the EU had ended in deadlock.
"We are going to challenge whatever government is on the six tests, the jobs, the standard of living, the protection of the environment," Corbyn said at a rally in Liverpool, in the north of England .
"And if this government can not deliver, then I'm just telling Theresa May that the best way to solve the problem is to hold a general election."
