Lakers goalkeeper Lonzo Ball tries to "get engaged" | NBA

Lonzo Ball is looking to be a better player for the Lakers.

"I just have to bounce the ball, get engaged, have more energy, just do what I can to get going," said Ball on Tuesday via ESPN.

The ball averages 9.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game this season. All figures are down from his rookie year in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old was operated on the knee during the off season and said he had not yet found the sense of the wire.

"For me, it'll start in defense, take the guards, get some flights, bounce the ball," said Ball. "When I do that, my shot begins to fall, I feel more in the game."

The Lakers are playing 2-5 at seven games this season and Ball is not happy with the way things have gone for him.

"Just do not do my job," said Ball.

Los Angeles faces Dallas at 10:30 am Wednesday Wednesday and Portland at 10 pm Saturday.
