Los Los Angeles Lakers PG Lonzo Ball is recovering from a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.
Ball was diagnosed with the injury of the end of the season, and he was expected to be healthy training camp, according to the outlet.
Ball played 52 games with MCL sprain and left knee contusion.
The timing of the report is particularly interesting considering the trade rumors swirling about Los Angeles. Kawhi Leonard from the only franchise he's ever known, Friday's news would seemingly give the Spurs pause if Ball was to be a part of a trade package. He's also a good companion to LeBron James, James to come to the Lakers in free agency.
Ball, the No. 2 pick in last year's draft, is coming off a solid rookie season with the Lakers where he averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.9 rebounds.
