LaMelo Ball returns to high school, LiAngelo Ball enters the G League

LaMelo Ball will return to high school and register at the Speyer Institute of Geneva, Ohio, for his final year of studies, The Ball Family. told SLAM Magazine. His big brother, LiAngelo Ball, who was not traded in June, reportedly told the G League teams that he would join the group of players and sign a contract with the G League according to The Athletic Charania Shams.

LaMelo and LiAngelo are the younger brothers of the Lakers leader, Lonzo. They had previously signed professional contracts and played for the Lithuanian club BC Vytautas Prienai. Before that, LiAngelo had been registered UCLA, however, was withdrawn last December after being suspended indefinitely following an arrest in China. LaMelo is expected to begin at the Speyer Institute "in the coming days" and is expected to debut Nov. 13 against leading hope Isaiah Stewart and The Lumiere School (Ind.). By enrolling in Spire, a preparatory school, LaMelo will compete with other high-end preparation institutes offering competitions in their age group.

LiAngelo, 19, worked with the Warriors and Lakers before the 2018 NBA draft, but was not selected.
