The country's second largest chain of pharmacies said that Florida's claim that it had contributed to fueling the opioid crisis in that state "is baseless".
CVS spokesperson Mike DeAngelis issued a statement Saturday stating that the company "is committed to helping reduce the misuse and misuse of prescription drugs." This includes training pharmacists and their assistants and public education efforts.
