Elected governor, Tony Evers, appointed his campaign director chief of staff, while announcing the creation of a transition team consisting of a former year – round teacher and senior management. 39, a biotechnology company from Madison.
Evers released the appointments Monday, less than a week after his defeat of Governor Scott Walker.
Evers says that Maggie Gau will become his chief of staff once he is sworn in on Jan. 7. Prior to leading Evers' campaign against Walker, Gau had previously held the position of chief of staff of two legislators from the Democratic State.
JoAnne Anton is leading the Evers transition team. She has worked more than 20 years for former US Democratic Senator Herb Kohl.
Other members of the transition team include former president of the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin, Chuck Pruitt; Marinette Marine President and Chief Executive Officer Jan Allman; Exact Sciences President and CEO Kevin Conroy; and former high school teacher of the year, Amy Traynor.

Tony Evers' transition team is asking $ 94,600 in the Republican-controlled legislature to hire staff and pay for office expenses as it prepares to take over from Republican Gov. Scott Walker.
Evers' Transition Team Director, JoAnne Anton, made this request on Sunday to the Republican Co-Chairs of the Legislative Budget Committee. The Joint Finance Committee was scheduled to meet Tuesday to decide on approval of expenditures.
State law requires that the budget committee of the Legislative Assembly meet a week after an election to approve a transition budget when a new governor is elected. Walker received almost $ 83,000 for his transition budget in 2010.
Anton asks Evers to pay the staff costs, the administrative costs of hiring, appointing, reviewing and preparing the budget, as well as "other necessary functions" .
