Albuquerque Airport said "quite clear" following a security issue involving a suspicious suitcase and airport operations have returned to normal.
Saturday's incident resulted in the temporary closure of street access at Albuquerque Sunport and west of the airport terminal for approximately two hours.
A spokesman for the police department said the incident had begun when the suitcase had been left unattended and that an explosive detector dog had shown interest.
The agent Simon Drobik said that the examination of the suitcase by the mine clearance team revealed no danger and that there was no threat made when of the incident.

The streets of Albuquerque Airport and parts of the airport were temporarily closed while authorities were checking a suspicious bag found on a carousel of luggage claims on Saturday.
A spokesman for the police department said the demining team was reviewing the bag and that people likely to have a flight from Albuquerque airport should contact Sunport. their respective airlines for possible delays.
The airport says on Twitter that the ticket sales counters and baggage claim to the west of the airport terminal are closed.
