SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Latest news on the tight race of Utah at the American house (all local times):
Democrat Ben McAdams is declared the winner after a vote that shows that he has taken over the head of the incumbent Republican Representative, Mia Love, in a tight race near the recount area.
McAdams said Monday night at a press conference that county employees had said in his campaign that almost all votes had been counted, leaving no way for the company boss to come back to Love. State election officials will certify the results on November 26.
McAdams says that love has not conceded. He is the mayor of Salt Lake County.
The love campaign did not immediately comment. She is trying to win a third term.
The new vote results released Monday night show that McAdams leads the Love of 0.28% – just below the counting threshold.
The final vote count is expected Tuesday.
The Associated Press did not call the race.

New voting results released Monday night by the Democratic Party of Salt Lake County show that McAdams is leading with 739 votes in a race where a total of about 269,000 ballots were counted in four counties.
McAdams leads Love with 0.28% – just below the threshold required for a recount. Under the Utah law, a candidate may apply for a recount if the margin is 0.25% or more.
The counties are about to publish their final count of votes on Tuesday afternoon. State election officials will certify the results on November 26.
Earlier Monday, Love had broadened its lead with new results in Republican-dominated Utah County.
Love is the first black Republican woman in Congress. She's trying to win her third term.
McAdams is the mayor of Salt Lake County and a former state legislator.
Republican Republican of Utah, Mia Love, has widened her lead over her Democratic opponent, Ben McAdams, but the percentage of votes she has collected in her strong riding has slightly decreased, the race remaining close to the stripping area.
The results of the new votes released Monday morning by Utah County show that Love now leads the McAdams with 1,516 votes in a race where nearly 261,000 votes were counted.
Love dominates the Salt Lake City Democratic mayor at 0.58%. Under the Utah law, a candidate may apply for a recount if the margin is 0.25% or more.
The more democratic Salt Lake County is expected to post more votes on Monday afternoon. McAdams is leading with 54% of the votes up to now.
The vote is Tuesday.
