2:20 p.m.

According to Tallahassee police, a 40-year-old man pretended to be a client in a yoga studio and started firing at people without warning, killing two women while their clients were trying to defend themselves.

Scott Paul Beierle then shot himself in the skin.

The authorities are still trying to understand why he organized this deadly attack.

According to the police statement, "the customers fought the assailant to prevent him from hurting himself and others."

Beierle was a graduate of Florida State University, but lived in a city in central Florida. Police searched Beirele's residence in Deltona, east of Orlando.

Beirele had already been arrested for seizing women, but the charges were eventually dropped. The records also showed that he had been banned from the Florida State University campus in 2014.

The shooting occurred on Friday night in an upmarket shopping center.

The court records show that the 40-year-old man identified as the shooter in a yoga studio in Tallahassee had already been arrested for seizing women.

Police said Scott Paul Beierle shot dead six people and killed two people at the gun. He had whipped another person before turning against him.

Beierle was charged with battery in 2016 by police after slapping and grabbing a woman's buttocks in the pool of an apartment complex. The records show that the charges were eventually dropped after Beierle had met the terms of a prosecution agreement.

Beierle was also charged with battery in 2012 for being seized the women's buttocks in a campus dining room at Florida State University. A police report from the FSU shows that Beierle told the police that he could hurt someone by accident, but denied being taken over by anyone.

Authorities in the Florida capital said two people were shot dead and five injured in a yoga studio by an armed gunman who was later killed.

Officials from Florida State University said the two people murdered Friday were a student and a faculty member of the FSU.

Tallahassee police chief Michael DeLeo told reporters on Friday night that the man had killed six people and whipped another gunman after entering the studio, which is part of a small shopping center.

The suspect then shot himself in the skin, DeLeo said.

DeLeo stated that the shooter acted alone and that the authorities were investigating the possible motives.

City Commissioner Scott Maddox said on Facebook: "During my career in the public service, I had to be in bad scenes … it's the worst, please pray."
