Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has destroyed more than half of the field in Daytona.
Stenhouse started an Accident of 25 cars at the start of the 400 mile race and then eliminated two other competitors a few laps later.
Stenhouse tapped Kyle Busch and made him lose control. Busch's Toyota No. 18 slides right and leaves William Byron. Byron and Busch ran 1-2 at the time
"Disappointing to be run over by the guy who caused the first accident," Busch said.

Chase Elliott, former series champion, Brad Keselowski and Kurt Busch, and Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano, former winners of Daytona 500 Accident of 25 cars on lap 54 Saturday night.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., winner of the race, started the scrum when he tapped on Keselowski, who was third. The No. 2 Ford of Keselowski entered the flank of Busch and more than a dozen cars were unable to slow down.
Keselowski said that he had started with a "bad block" of William Byron, who cut in front of Keselowski. "The two broke down and everyone else too," said Hamlin. "It often happens much later in the night."
Logano adds, "When a car is sitting on the side of the field at 200 mph, you can not get through."

The winner of the Ricky Stenhouse Jr. race won the first leg of the Cup Series at Daytona
Stenhouse took the lead of Chase Elliott after 11 laps, then delayed Kyle Busch the flag checkered and earn bonus points. It was Stenhouse 's first stage victory of the year
Busch finished second after 15th, followed by Kyle Larson, William Byron and Elliott Post
Michael McDowell, who finished ninth at Daytona 500 in season opening, ran the second part of the stage before making a mental mistake and falling back.

Alex Bowman, Elliott and Hendrick Motorsports teammate, is at the forefront at Daytona, Chevrolet needed a boost for both the team and the Chevrolet builder.
Chevy tries to take a series of 0-by-17s. This is the longest lost time without a win for the American manufacturer since a race of 31 races in 1981-82.
Austin Dillon gave Chevrolet its only win of the season at the opening of the Daytona 500 season. The American automaker has not been a track of victory since and has not been really approached a checkerboard. Toyota and Ford pulled out
Jimmie Johnson, seven-time NASCAR champion, took fourth place in the # 48 Chevrolet, allowing him to occupy three of the top four spots.
