President Donald Trump is looking for a Republican Senate candidate stuck in a tight race in Tennessee.
The president attended a rally in Johnson City to support US representative Marsha Blackburn, who faces former Democratic governor Phil Bredesen (BRED-uh-sen). They are fighting over the position currently held by retired Republican Senator Bob Corker.
Trump said Blackburn would be a "real fighter" for Tennessee, while his opponent, if elected, could make Chuck Schumer the Democrat the new Senate Majority Leader. Republicans have a slight advantage from 51 to 49 years in the Senate and are trying to retain their majority.
While the prospects of maintaining the GOP in the House of Representatives seem to fade, the president has stepped up his campaign for Republican Senate candidates in recent weeks.

Trump, at a rally in Tennessee on Monday, said the Democrats were trying to slow down the FBI's investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
The president said, "If we take 10 years, they will want more time."
He says the Democrats undermine Kavanaugh's credibility and are "willing to do anything or hurt anyone" to outsource his program. Kavanaugh denied the claims of several women, including one who testified to having her flattened against a bed, having her curled up and attempted to undress while they were in high school.
He has notably criticized a number of presumed 2020 presidential opponents, including Detective Cory Booker of New Jersey, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and former Vice President Joe Biden.
