Samuel Silver, of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, worked for Cosby on legal issues in the state, including charges that Cosby allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted Andrea Constand, a former employee of Temple University.
Cosby paid the money bills until June 30, 2017, but did not pay anything after that date, according to the complaint filed on September 21.
The lawsuit also requests the payment of 1.5% late fees.
In December 2017, Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt wrote to Silver that Camille Cosby, Cosby's wife, would be unable to make the agreed payments by the end of the year .
She did not make the payment at that time and Silver continued to try to collect in the spring and summer.
In July 2018, Cosby's assistant, Debbie Meister, wrote Silver: "Mr. Cosby is raising money to pay you before August 15th, "according to the complaint. But this payment was not made either.
Wyatt declined to comment on Thursday because he had not seen the complaint.
