The Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James, has found himself in a war of words with Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim. The two tweets exchanged after James challenged some of Boeheim's comments about the NBA prospect, Darius Bazley.
When told about the $ 1 million Bazley internship at New Balance, Boeheim said James "did a good job helping his client." He then added, "This is a LeBron James customer, is not it?"

James took exception to these comments.
James, 33, assumed that Boeheim's comments were sarcastic. Boeheim responded, saying he was certainly not crazy. He's really happy for Bazley.

James had reason to believe that Boeheim could oppose Bazley's situation. Bazley had originally planned to go to Syracuse, but was re-engaged to join the G League. Bazley has never played in the G League. He signed with agent Rich Paul, who removed him from the consideration of the G League. Paul is also James' agent.
James probably assumed that Boeheim was unhappy about losing his place on Bazley. There is also the question of Bazley making money, which Boeheim raised.
Boeheim today: "I do not think we should ever compensate the players … They can keep their meal money …" Everyone says, "The coach makes this as well as the players (0). " The player is 17 years old. I have worked all my life. There are many 17 year olds who are not earning money. "

Bazley, obviously, is not a player. But Boeheim's attitude towards paid players may have influenced James' decision to tweet about the situation.
Boeheim's comments may have also had unintended consequences:
The underlying meaning is that LeBron James can not technically hold a stake in Klutch Sports Group, led by Rich Paul. Klutch represents LeBron and Darius Bazley, among others.

Because of this, Boeheim apparently called Paul to apologize.

It leaves us with a mystery. Boeheim is he a "big crazy", he lost a recruit? Or did James read too much in Boeheim's comments?
