LeBron James was an accomplice in Lonzo Ball's game.
LeBron James conducted his first interviews as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, and the new Hollywood star shared his thoughts on his new teammates during Media Day. One of the stories since James signed with the Lakers is how he would adapt to Lonzo Ball. James was complicit with his new teammate in an interview with ESPN's David Mcmenamin.
"Destined for greatness, I believe," James told ESPN when asked to describe Ball. "His basketball IQ, his ability to pass the ball, give you the impression that his teammates love to play with him."
CBS Sports reported that Ball will start the season off the bench while he continues to recover from a knee operation.
Ball was medically allowed last week, but it looks like coach Luke Walton wants to release him by taking him off the bench to start the season. It is possible that it still has a tendency of nearly 30 minutes per night at the beginning of the year, but a slow start could be considered from the point of view of the minutes. Once he feels comfortable again, he may join the starting five.

Lonzo believes that his extra strength will be key to his success and downplayed his new form of shooting
Ball's videos shooting this season became viral after it appeared he had tweaked his release. Ball downplayed filming changes but emphasized his added strength as a motive for optimism.
"Everyone says my jump shot [is] this new thing, "Ball told ESPN. "For me, it's not really changed much. I just think that I have become much stronger. So, I do not really have to throw the ball like I did last year. [The set point] moved a little more in the middle, but it's still on the left side. But just trying to focus on my mechanics, keeping my hand up, keeping my elbow stronger and just being stronger, the top of my body, it's easier for me to get to the edge.
LeBron and the Lakers launched their first practice
It may seem early, but the Lakers have started to train. After day 1, James emphasized the word that Lakers fans may not want to hear: patience.
"I'm not very patient but I understand that I have to be patient right now," James told the Los Angeles Times. "I must also be patient with myself because it's a new beginning for me. It's my first year here. It's my first year in the new system. I know how to play basketball but it's new to me too. So I have to be patient with myself. Not only with my teammates, but more with myself.
