Frenzy of the trailerA special place to find the latest movie trailers and TV shows you dream of. Space is only the beginning for Emmet, Wyldstyle, Batman, Benny and Unikitty in The movie Lego 2: the second part, who has just released his second trailer.
The film begins almost exactly five years after the release of the first film. What is practical enough is how much time has elapsed in the movie. Now, however, our heroes will have to go to another galaxy to help save their world once again. You've seen a bit of that in the trailer but now the whole universe is opening up a lot more, a lot more.
After Wyldstyle and his friends were kidnapped by a group of Lego Duplos, led by Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi (Tiffany Haddish), it was up to Emmet (Chris Pratt) to save the situation. But he will not leave alone! While browsing the cosmos, Emmet meets a Galaxy Defender / Archaeologist / Cowboy / Raptor coach named Rex Dangervest, also voiced by Pratt, who is clearly referring to many of his previous action movies.
Emmet travels to the country of musicals, glitter and non-stop kindness while he tries, and fails, to be "super-tough" with his new best friend, Rex. It may fall prey to sexist stereotypes of "traditional masculinity", but I think that will be the goal. The film should focus on gender issues, and more specifically on how toys are generally marketed differently from boys and girls. The addition of Rex Dangervest (and Emmet's relationship with him) is therefore a conscious step.
Stephanie Beatriz and Arturo Castro also join the cast, which also brings Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Charlie Day. Directed by Mike Mitchell, The movie Lego 2 opens on February 8, 2019.
