Lena Dunham talks about her tense relationship with Lorde.

Just weeks after the split of Dunham and Antonoff, rumors began to circulate that the Bleachers' leader and the "Royals" singer were coming out together. While Antonoff denied the rumor on Twitter, fans continued to speculate on a possible romance after Antonoff, who had produced his latest album, sits next to Lorde (real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor) at 2018 Grammys. Some even go so far as to suggest that Antonoff cheats Dunham with the singer.
While Dunham said he spoke privately with Antonoff about the rumors, she described the situation as "so embarrassing".

We have not spoken since Jack and I broke up. It was awful and I could not do anything about it except the confidence that what he was telling me was true. "

Although the two men remained close in the months following their breakup, they also seem to have evolved in a romantic way.

according to The cupDunham "saw with great casualness an artist she met through mutual friends." Antonoff was also associated with model Carlotta Kohl – the two people sitting in a Knicks game in March.
"I thought I could prove that strange girls could also have love," said Dunham about the romance reported between Antonoff and Kohl. "And now he goes out with someone who looks normal and normal and that girls are supposed to watch."
