Iglesias, also born in Cuba, said that he is still adapting to his new culture as he enjoys his best statistical season with the Tigers.

"It's hard, man, you came in. You are facing a new culture, facing a new language, facing new foods, new things," Iglesias said. "Still to learn, I have been here for 10 years and I am still learning."

The manager of the Tigers, Ron Gardenhire, just hopes the two will make the trip to Toronto this weekend.

"It's really cool, these guys are really proud of it, I just hope they can come to Canada," he said. "They lost their visas and their cards. green now that they have taken this citizenship, so they must get a passport so that they can accompany us to Canada in a few days.
