Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has left the hotel for "private reasons" and will not be available for Sunday's friendly with Peru.
Sane was excluded from the German team for the World Cup in Russia.
However, he made a brief appearance in Thursday's draw against France.
Germany tweeted on Friday that after discussions with head coach Joachim Low, "Leroy Sane left the hotel's team in Munich for private reasons".
His international team-mate Toni Kroos said earlier this week that Sane, 22, who had played 13 senior matches in Germany, did not realize his potential and needed to improve his attitude.
"Sometimes, with Leroy's body language, we have the same feeling if we win or lose," said Real Madrid midfielder Kroos.
"It's a player who has everything you need to be a world-class player, but sometimes you have to tell him that he needs to be more performant."
Sane, who cost 37 million pounds, plus add-ons when he joined the city of Schalke in August 2016, still has to play a Premier League game for the champions this season.
His last match, the 2-1 win in the Premier League against Newcastle on 1 September, was excluded from the team of 18 players.
