Devin Lima, the singer of the LFO band of the 90s, died of cancer at age 41, said his family TMZ and Us Weekly.
"My son is dead, his mother," confirmed Filomena Lima at the celebrity magazine on Wednesday. "His fiancee lived with him and let us know that he passed at 2:45 in the morning."
She added that Lima "had struggled for 13 months since the diagnosis of her cancer. The family is not good."
Lima is the second-oldest member of the cancer group in recent years: the singer of the trio Rich Cronin died in 2010 after a fight against leukemia.
Last year, Lima was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer, a rare diagnosis, said her journalist, Alaina Bendi, at Us Weekly.
"(The musician, Brad Fischetti) has been with him since the first day Devin got sick, so LFO will always be together," Bendi told the magazine after Lima's diagnosis.
LFO was a resounding success with his single "Summer Girls" in 1999, along with other favorites such as "Girls on TV" and "Every Other Time", with their latest album "Perfect 10" which has arrived here. 39, last year.
USA TODAY has contacted representatives of Lima for comments.
