Lightning crossed the skies around Los Angeles on Friday night, creating a spectacular – but dangerous – light show just off the coast.
The National Weather Service and local fire departments urged people to stay indoors and shelter, stressing that lightning could strike ten kilometers away. a storm.

About 10,000 customers in Los Angeles were without electricity, according to the Ministry of Water and Electricity. Field teams were working to restore service.
Arlington Heights, Beverly Grove, Mid City and Brentwood are among the sectors that have lost power.

SoCal Edison also reported 421 customers without electricity in Long Beach and 611 without electricity at Diamond Bar. It was not known when power would be restored in both areas.
AIR7 HD has filmed multiple lightning events off the coast in the Rancho Palos Verdes-San Pedro area.
Witnesses reported seeing similar exhibitions from Orange County to Hollywood, accompanied in some areas with light rain.
Radar images showed a hanging bunch of moisture just off the coast between Avalon and Dana Point on Friday night.
High school football games across Southern California were canceled Friday night. The heavy downpour pushed Fairfax high school students to flee the danger.
The game did not even go at half-time.
"We have seen the lightning come closer and closer to what is literally within our reach," said one woman.
Many viewers shared photos and videos of rain and hail descending into the Southland fields.
At the California stadium bench, the Thai football team, where the boys and their football coach were trapped in a cave for nearly three weeks, were again trapped in a storm during the match.
Some power poles have also caught fire in Hawaiian gardens in the Lakewood and Bellflower areas, fire officials said.
