Lil Xan goes to rehab and could not be happier with her choice

Lil Xan announced that he was looking for a cure and that he was going into rehab in a few days.

The 22-year-old "Betrayed" rapper, born Diego Leanos, shared the news with her fans on Instagram on Thursday. "I just gave up SoundCloud Uni to go to rehab, I leave in 5 days and I could not be happier with this choice," he told his subscribers on social networks. "I love you so much for your support and I can not wait to get back in shape, ready to finish my album!"

Xan was working on a tribute album for Mac Miller, who died in September at the age of 26. It was revealed earlier this month that Miller had died from mixed drug toxicity (fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol). The mode of death has been certified as an accident.

Xan went to TMZ Live on Thursday to talk about his decision to go to rehab, a decision he'd made at the rapper's birthday Lil Peepis death.

"The worst that has hurt me the most, Mac Miller," said Xan. "It's been too close to home so … and I know we both struggle with the same problems and the same problem and I just feel like it's time to do better, you know."

When asked why he was struggling, Xan said that hydrocodone and "a lot of opioids".
