The Hawaii-centered story tells the story of a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, designed to be a force of destruction. The pursuit of foreigners, social workers and the idea of family ties are at the heart of the debate.
Although not a resounding success under modern box office standards, this well-known movie has been a source of light in a difficult period in Disney's animated history.
It is unclear whether the new project, intended to be a real action hybrid / CG, is intended for a theatrical release or Disney's streaming service expected to be launched in 2019.

This project is the latest in Disney's successful strategy of leveraging its previous animated classics and reallocating them as live events. Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and Pete's Dragon are some of the recent versions, with Dumbo, the lion king and Aladdin among future moviegoers.
Van Waes is best known in Hollywood circles as a horror prize writer. He wrote The twisted man, based on a New Line character The conspiracy 2 and that is developed as Conjuring Spinoff universe. He also wrote Not in Kansas, a Wizard of OzThemed horror project also set up at New Line. Van Waes is replaced by CAA and Grandview.
Linen Aladdin The release is scheduled for May 24, 2019. Guy Ritchie directed the film starring Will Smith as Genie.
