DUBAI: American actress Lindsay Lohan has been criticized after clashing with a homeless family that she has identified as a refugee from Syria, the London-based Evening Standard reported.

As seen on the 10-minute live video on Instagram, Lohan approached the family, asked the two young boys if they wanted to come with her and said, "It would be great to watch a movie at the television or on a computer.

The parents refused and started to get away from the actress but Lohan suddenly broke down and said to the mother: "You should be a hardworking woman and you should do what you can for your children so that They have a better life.

Lohan insisted on taking the children and accused the parents of "child trafficking" and "ruining Arab culture".

Towards the end of the video, Lohan fell to the ground while she was apparently pushed by the mother.

Lohan spoke a little Arabic and Russian, but the interaction was not clearly established.

Web users quickly blasted Lohan for the video, accusing him of trying to "kidnap" the kids. Others have described the video as "terrible", "disgusting" and "uncomfortable to watch".
