Links are scarce in the NFL today because of overtime. However, after the absence of links in 2017, the 2018 season has already had two draws in the first two weeks.
On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings drew 29-29 and they believe the packers know their history. Since 1974 (the start of the sudden death extension period), the Packers have played in six draws that are the most important for any NFL team. And of these six games, the Packers have faced the Vikings three times.
Here is an overview of each Packers tie set since 1974.
1978: Packers 10, Vikings 10
The Packers had a 10-3 lead in the fourth quarter, but quarterback Vikings Fran Tarkenton pitched a TD pass to tie the game at 10. The tie helped the Vikings because they beat the Packers earlier in the year. And with both teams finishing the season 8-7-1, the Vikings won the NFC Central because of the breakup.
1980: Packers 14, Buccaneers 14
It was another game where the Packers took the lead in the fourth quarter. However, quarterback Bucs Doug Williams scored on a five-year run to tie the game to 14. Packers quarterback Lynn Dickey finished with 418 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The Packers finished the season at 5-10-1
1982: Packers 20, Colts 20
The Colts were still in Baltimore at the time and it was another game where the Packers had taken the lead late in the game. In fact, the Packers won 20-6 in the fourth quarter, until the Colts scored 14 unanswered points to give them their only defeat of the year. 1982 was a shortened season, so the Packers finished the year with a 5-3-1 record.

1987: Packers 17, Broncos 17
The match took place at Milwaukee County Stadium and the Packers took the lead in the fourth quarter. It was a match that the Packers should have won convincingly, as they forced six turnovers, including three interceptions on John Elway. But the Packers could not throw the ball because they only recorded 100 passing yards.
2013: Packers 26, Vikings 26
It was the NFL's second draw since the change in overtime rules in 2012. Aaron Rodgers did not play in the match because he had a broken collarbone. But the Packers were able to overtake the Vikings 16-3 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 26. It was the first game of the NFL where both teams scored extra points in overtime.
2018: Packers 29, Vikings 29
The Packers managed to take a 20-7 lead over the Vikings thanks to big team games and Rodgers who played hard despite a knee injury. But the Vikings came back in the fourth quarter while Kirk Cousins threw three touchdowns to tie the game at 29. The only thing the NFL will talk about is Clay Matthews being called for a penalty in the fourth quarter. Jaire Alexander intercepted the pass, but because of the penalty, the interception did not count and the Vikings had another chance to tie the ball game.
