Alfonso Cuaron's "Roma", a black-and-white drama taken from the memories of the director who grew up in Mexico City in the early 1970s and marks his return to Spanish cinema, is the Golden Lion winner of the Venice Film Festival.

The "Roma", which is clearly the most personal work of Cuaron, revolves around two domestic workers, both from the Mixteco heritage, who tirelessly care for a small family in the bourgeois district of Rome.
