Weezer released the first song of their next The black album, which will fall next year via Crush Music / Atlantic Records. The rock song "Can not Knock The Hustle" comes in the form of a video clip starring Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy as an Uber pilot.
In the four-minute video produced by Jerry Media, Wentz portrays a driver who is fed up with his odious nocturnal passengers. While Wentz walks in Los Angeles, he faces a couple who can not help embarrass themselves, to his dismay. Eventually, they start fighting, leading to a bloody incident that only reinforces the scale of the romantic entanglement at the back.
"Can not Knock The Hustle" was produced by Dave Sitek of TV On The Radio, with whom the group worked for the first time. This is Weezer's first new music since the release of a cover of Toto's "Africa". The group also announced a series of tour dates for next spring with the Pixies, which will begin March 8 in Louisville, Kentucky. The lead race will take place on April 12 in Las Vegas, NV. Tickets for the shows will go on sale to the general public on October 19th at 10 am via Live Nation.
